CandleC

CandleC compiles CASM source files into executables for CandleVM. It also validates projects and cleans their output directory. CandleC does not run the generated program.

What CandleC produces

CandleC reads each .casm module, encodes its instructions, resolves project modules and resources, and links them with the configured plugin dependencies into one .candle executable. It prepends startup instructions that load the configured main module, call its main function, and exit with status zero. The executable format and runtime behavior are described in the CandleVM documentation.

CandleC checks source syntax and instruction operands, but it does not perform static register type checking. Runtime value types, module and function lookup, plugin availability, and program execution are handled by CandleVM.
